VACDIVA ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Social networks have become a fundamental tool for both sharing content and searching for information. At VACDIVA we know that most internet users now use them on a daily basis to find out what is happening, which is why we have focused on spreading the word through our Linkedin and Twitter accounts about the different activities we have carried out within the framework of the project, as well as news, interviews or articles related to the African Swine Fever virus, which allow our followers to keep up to date with all the news about the spread of the virus, recommendations from international institutions, government measures or the economic consequences of the advance of the virus. We chose Linkedin among other things for its more professional profile and Twitter for the simplicity of interaction with the user, we believe that both complement very well the work we do with the project’s website.

Since we opened our profiles in social networks, there are many news items that we have shared, such as the news of the meeting to launch our project, the rapid expansion of PPA in Asia and its recent arrival in Germany, or different interviews with the project’s coordinator, Professor José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno.

If we talk about figures, in the last year VACDIVA’s Twitter profile has accumulated 77673 impressions in one year, quite a remarkable figure for a Horizon2020 project account. As for Linkedin, VACDIVA’s profile has managed to reach 610 followers in one year, which shows the growing interest in ASF and the arrival of a vaccine.

Our aim is to reach more people every day with our social networks.
